  3. It boils down to a basic principle of engineering: The more complex you make any mechanism, the greater the chance of failure. When someone's in your house and fucking with your mind, your family and your ass, and you need your gun to go "Bang!", but instead, it goes, "System error! Please re-install drivers! For further information, contact tech support at 1-800-YOU-ARE-FUKT, available 8AM to 5PM Monday to Friday!" Well, that just doesn't cut it for a defensive tool.

Half an hour of jibba jabba, no technical details of why thorium reactors may be cost effective, safe, practical etc. Maybe thorium reactors can be developed into an effective energy source, but this shitty video delivers no useful information. Mostly just a pile of political and emotional BS, nothing anyone can use to make any informed decisions.

  5. It isn't really protective--it's too light and fragile for that. It's there to greatly reduce aero drag so high speeds can be reached. It's not a protective shell like a car body.

  6. Actually, yes it is, in fact, emissions. Exhaling produces CO2 gas, and farting releases unburned hydrocarbons (methane gas.) So, a human-powered vehicle of any type actually produces much of the same type of exhaust emissions you'd get from internal combustion engines--a mixture of CO2 and unburned hydrocarbon. But, the HPV is so energy-efficient, that the emissions produced by its "engine" can be ignored.

  7. In general, it's already been done. People have built and run streamlined bicycles at highway speeds for quite a long time now. There have also been human-powered airplanes for many years :)
