Drastic climate change occurs all by itself in nature. Organisms adapt and survive it quite easily--including humans. An ice age occurs every ~26,000 years, and modern day humans (that's us!) have been around about 200,000 years. So, we've already survived 8 ice ages, and we did it without electricity and heated/insulated buildings, expensive clothes made of fancy factory-made insulating materials, or any kind of technology at all besides maybe throwing spears and furry clothes made from animal skins.

@dawkot6955 Nobody died as a result of ice ages. It happens very slowly over many generations, taking 26,000 years per cycle. It doesn't just get freezing cold all of a sudden and everyone croaks! You don't notice the temperature change over a human lifespan because it happens so slowly. The human species survived it in the distant past, it'll be no problem in the future because we've evolved to be able to survive it--and that's why we're here today.
