Nobody really "fights" the A-10 because it is a Close Air Support aircraft, not a fighter jet. This video title is based on a false premise. Because of its low speed, shooting down an A-10 is very easy. As for the Avenger cannon, it's mostly hype now because modern tank armor is just about immune to it. The A-10's cannon is fine for soft targets like trucks and what have you but is almost useless against modern tanks. They use laser-guided bombs instead of the cannon.

The A-10's gun is almost useless against hard targets. It isn't powerful enough. They use laser guided bombs for attacking tanks and other heavily armored targets now because the gun doesn't do jack.

@Calaveras32Spcl Proof is the use of LGBs against hardened targets... The Avenger cannon was designed decades ago before the invention of modern reactive armor, but said armor can be defeated by using single relatively large bombs instead of a larger number of small cannon rounds.
