  2. I'm Canadian, but when I was a kid I went to a Catholic school. I'm not a religious person, but a school is a school is a school and the bus came right by our house, so that's where my parents sent me. If you think brainwashing isn't what school is truly all about, then you obviously never went to school :)

Second runner-up is China at around 18 trillion but they have to support over 4 times as many people! They are, per capita, basically poor. That's your actual GDP, not wealth that has already been earned.

  4. I worked as a machinist for years. Tradesmen only get paid, you know, money, when they DO something. So, they don't have much headspace for politics :)

A lot of people have been asking this, and I'm glad that there are some people in the world that can actually think, but I'll ask it again just for good measure: Why the fuck does anyone visit North Korea? Why on earth would you ever want to waste your time in a total shithole? Do you think it makes you hip to some kind of scene? Do you think you get coolness/hipness/worldliness points for it, like bragging about visiting France or Italy and eating in expensive restaurants? I feel sorry for Otto, I really do--but if he was supposed to be so damn smart, what the fuck was he thinking going there? While we're at it, why not just re-start the Nazi regime in Germany, just so we can go for a visit? Maybe they'll have some Bratwurst for us. I'm Canadian, and frankly, our part of the world is fucked up enough as it is. Stay the fuck away from North Korea, idiots. It's not like they need your tourist dollars for their nuclear warhead development program. Finally, if and when those fools attack the USA, it'll be the last thing they ever do. After that, they'll be called the "Korean Basin".

  9. One thing I can say about trade work is that the reason so few people are learning it is because it honestly doesn't pay too well most of the time. Yes, you do hear people that are tradesmen making 80 grand a year, but they work 80-hour weeks! If you want to make working worthwhile, as in, making WELL over $100,000 a year (possibly 2 or 3 times that, or more) it's NEVER gonna happen in the trades.
