  2. Nothing special about the Model T. Any car engine can be modified to run on ethanol and you don't need to remove the engine from the car to do it, it's a carburetor that has been jetted for ethanol or a fuel injection system calibrated for it. Nothing unusual about it.

I get that using the same ECU fuel map with bigger injectors corrects for the greater volume of ethanol needed over gas, so just swapping in bigger injectors is all you need to change to ethanol and you don't have to change the fuel map. So, straight ethanol has a much higher octane rating than gasoline but it has a longer burn time so you can't run your engine as fast? i.e. lower redline/upshifting at lower RPM just because of the different fuel?
