  2.  @openthinker6562  Those are as good as marked police cars because sometimes people will notice them. They're low-profile so as to not warrant excessive attention, but lights where there aren't usually any, unusual grilles/tires/features etc. might mean it's actually a police car. Cops inside are a giveaway, too. Truly unmarked police cars are impossible to distinguish, they could just look like a soccer mom driving to a PTA meeting :) But, it's a real cop with a real badge & real gun, they have a portable radio, and a magnetic light in the car they can place on the roof when chasing you. They just look like ordinary cars, with an officer inside in plain clothes. The lady in the Volvo wagon next to you at a traffic light listening to Celine Dion with grocery bags in the back seat could be a cop. The nice doggy looking out the window and panting away wagging its tail means they could be a K9 unit, and if there's a nice bag of good weed in your pocket, you betcher ass that dog knows it's there, and he probably has had it figured out for the 20 miles you've been driving in front of them with your windows down before reaching that stop light :)

You'd think the guy would make an effort to not bend it regardless of whether he bought it outright or "built" it himself (the word is "restored", it's GM that actually built it, but car types are usually lost in the noise with their bro-telligence vernacular)

  5. If he was waiting at a traffic light, why not just leave it in drive? No reason to plunk it in park and then back into drive at every light. It's usually done by 17-year-olds that wish they were driving a manual (and then they eventually try it, think there's "something wrong with the car" and never do it again)

  7.  @PhilG999  Yeah, that sums it up. Cars can be a great hobby, but they are a negative-sum game because a good car attracts GREAT losers. A GREAT car attracts ASPD.

  10.  @etrcentenario9737  Depends on where you live I guess. If you're in a big city (Los Angeles and such) then the police presence keeps crime down. In smaller burgs, the apparent lack of police presence keeps crime down :)

It's not like other cops are going to go out of their way to give one of their own a traffic ticket, although it does happen sometimes. You have Internet access. You can find videos of cops getting pulled over by other officers, and the cop behind the wheel is falling down drunk. It happens, and when it does, the odds are he'll just be let go because 'nabbing' another cop, especially one with seniority, is a great way to get yourself fired from your job as an officer--and it's also a great way to get yourself targeted for gangstalking, or even killed.

  14. If you're into the road rage scene don't pork around with a 40-ton truck! Just bump off a little Civic or something like that like normal people do. And if you live in the USA plenty of truckers are packing heat to boot!

Well, "defensive driving" mostly just means two things: don't crowd yourself in traffic (leave room around your car when possible) and look well ahead so you can anticipate problems well ahead of time and avoid them instead of making panic stops. So, normal driving, when done half-decently, is basically defensive driving.
