@evilisforbidden3981 Interesting perspective, I tend to agree with you. Life is found in... Life, not in books. On the other hand, books can be an effective way for people to store and retrieve information that you might be able to use to develop various skills and abilities, gain some ideas to pursue, or otherwise go about getting something done and generally making life happen in your life. Think of books as a kind of hard disk that doesn't need electricity. It's a form of data storage.
But, to claim that "reading a book" is, in and of itself, somehow virtuous or intrinsically valuable simply because you're doing it is nonsense. Oh, you "read a lot of books"? The NUMBER of books you read in such-and-such a timeframe is greater than mine? Ok, I access my hard disk more times per second than you do. I keep the bigger program files on an SSD, and use the hard disk for bulk storage. I defragment that bitch from time to time as well! So, there, too! :)

Here it is a nutshell:
Car and airplanes have conflicting, actually opposite, requirements.
Cars have to travel on the ground for very long distances, so they must have rugged, durable suspension and tires. They need a durable steering mechanism. They have to have large, durable brakes. They need a very rigid body for driving on real-world roads without coming apart. That makes the car heavy. The wheels are powered directly for best efficiency and low noise.
Airplanes have to be very light. They only travel very short distances on the ground. They need a propeller (or jet engine) for powered flight.
Building one vehicle that can both fly, and be highway-capable (and legal) is entirely possible. But due to those conflicting requirements, it will be extremely expensive--but it won't be a very good car, and it won't be a very good airplane.
You're better off having a plane only for flying, and a separate car for driving.
So, you can have a flying car if you want one. But it sucks for both driving and flying, and costs a fortune--it costs more than having a separate car and plane, and its performance sucks in either mode, especially for the price!
