  2. I'd suspect that the reason why Tesla cars have extremely stiff frames, is because electric cars are very quiet. So, you don't want tons of interior squeaks and rattles. A stiff body makes that easier to control. If Ford had built it, it would be lighter, much cheaper, and very flexible and rattly inside :) It would have pissed off tons of brand-new-car owners!!

  4. So, Tesla has a way to go before they are a real world-player. Still, I'm sure they had some rationale for designing their cars the way they did. Sell the company to Toyota and let 'er rip :) I don't own a Tesla, but they're still cool ass products. Kudos to them for having a go at it--this stuff ain't easy, kids!
