  1. Considering how compact the motor is, I'm surprised they don't use a separate motor for each wheel. Only a single-stage gear reduction would be needed, no hollow motor shaft, and no differential. Wheel torque could be distributed electronically, eliminating wheel slip when starting from a standstill. Very interesting to see it though, thanks for posting!
