@rockethead7 Technology is knowledge. It's not the physical artifacts, such as engines, hulls, guidance computers etc. etc. Technology isn't physical things--it's the knowledge of how to build things and make things work.
If they wanted to build another moon rocket, it would be a big, expensive project, but it would be much easier today than it was in the 1960s. None of the technology was "lost", it has been developed and improved. There's no need for archaic devices like the Saturn V or the old moon landers, anything built today would be better, more reliable, and probably even cheaper.
They don't go back to the moon because it's expensive and very dangerous, not because the knowledge of how to do it was lost! They know more about it today than they ever did! Frankly, it would probably be fairly easy today, but still dangerous, and they've already gone, so why bother?
The goal today is getting to Mars one day, not to the moon--been there, done that, move on.
