  2.  @បេះដូង-ឡ5ទ  Not gay either, my apologies. I would have left a long time ago if I functioned well enough, but I grew up being severely tortured. Canada has internal problems with a form of terrorism. We're not all a shiny happy country--you just never hear about it.

  6.  @MakeThatChange  "Minimalist" means living a small life as cheaply as possible so that you don't have to work yourself to death, and have time and money for better things. Rent a small cheap apartment, or buy a very small house. Buy a used car that's very small, and a base model with no fancy features, no power-adjustable anything, no fancy stereo etc. Just a basic cheap car. Cook all your food from scratch using inexpensive ingredients. Buy cheap clothes, possibly used. That way, you don't have to work like a dog all the time, and you'll have time and energy for actually living, instead of just working all the time, and you don't have to worry about drowning in debt all the time either. Problem is, Canada is so expensive that people can't afford a minimalist lifestyle. Rent/mortgage, bills, & insurance for your home & vehicle? There goes all your money, hope you like working on the weekends.

  7.  @MakeThatChange  Neither would I, and that's why I've been canned from some jobs :) In Canada you can get really bent out of shape about the whole so-called "work ethic" thing. Work ethic just means you shouldn't have any life outside of working. I doubt it's any different in many other countries.

  9. I'll do you one better than that--I was BORN in Canada. I've lived here for all of my 44 years. Never felt at home here. Never welcome in my own home country. Nothing but incessant organized stalking, harassment and torture for 4 decades. For such a nice, sweet, polite country, we're damn close to being a terrorist state.

  11. Nobody ever mentions homegrown terrorism in Canada. I grew up being physically tortured by government officials. It's called "gangstalking" or organized harassment, and Canada is absolutely insane for it--yet, the citizens still have no gun rights here.

  12. What you'll seldom if ever hear about Canada: It can get hot as all huck in choice locations in the summer. Not for very long, mind you--It's still O Canada Eh and the usual climatic stereotype applies. Here in southern Ontario where many Canucks live, we're far away from the oceans and only get the temperature-swing damping effect from the Great Lakes, not the oceans. So, we get the continental climate that sometimes gets hotter than hell in the summer, and of course you also get to freeze the little hairs out of your ass cheeks in the winter in grand Canadian tradition. Just because it's Canuckland doesn't mean it won't cook your goose! Plenty of northern-most US states get the same raw deal.
