@ilirsvenfrancous9011 Terrain does matter but the Balkans simply don't have enough military capability to stop a well trained modern military. Like Yemen if they were invaded by half retarded nitwits like Saudi Arabia then yes like Yemen they'd use the terrain to stop a well equipped military. Overwhelming superiority along with a well trained army can overcome terrain. We don't have to look too far back in history either. Nagorno Karabakh was probably one of the hardest places on the planet to mount an offensive and one of the easiest to defend due to the terrain. It's 1000x more advantages than the Balkan terrain. Yet the defenders crumbled like origami after about 40 days and surrendered. That is how conflict in the Balkans would play out if a well equipped well trained military walked in there. It would be a cake walk. Aside from Greece no nation in that entire area has an even half decent military.

@Sexygiraffe, societies in demographic collapse will collapse. There is really no way around it.
1
@juno3254 Are there still Europeans who don't see where this is headed and how math works?
1
@ericjohnson7234 "Forced breeding" is literally an impossibility. Think through the logistics of it. There will come a time when larger and larger financial benefits will be afforded to those who breed. If that doesn't work, (which it probably won't) then some societies might get drastic and start imposing financial (tax) penalties on people who aren't breeding. But the way these things work and how slowly societies react to things, by the time these kick off it will probably be too late. Hell it might already be too late. Perhaps this is simply another level of nature to keep things in balance. Perhaps this is why historically civilizations who zoom too far ahead of everyone else always collapse. Who knows. One thing I do know is this isn't going to end well for the industrialized world.

@Dave-the-adequate Your idea of the American economy collapsing is rooted in some reality. It is very possible. Your idea that Europe is resilient and will recolonize what ever is left of the US is pure and utter fantasy. You are severely under estimating what bad shape Europe is. If America collapsed, forget colonizing America Europe wouldn't even be able to defend itself. Nations like Russia, Turkey and China would push them around so hard they'd eventually turn into 3rd world client states after a while.

@cactusmanofdestiny3708 Are you an Eastern European by any chance?
1
@cactusmanofdestiny3708 Because if so, there is a high probability of an emotional attachment to the debate.

@Skilz8098, Very insightful comment. I too grew up in New Jersey at roughly around the same time as you and I too found myself as a young voter leaning left. As I got older I started to see myself shifting more and more to the right. However I don't agree with you that we'll see a war between the classes. The elites have far too many useful idiots who will carry their water and be their shields.
1
@Mr-yw8pg To be fair their elections are a lot less rigged than our last election was.
1
@pykasso4966 You speak as if the Balkans or Eastern Europe has the ability to defend itself. Without American or Russian muscle, those useless little nations would get steamrolled (by any half decent military)
1
@rocketdogticker The society and educational system the boomers created was a large part into why people turned into punks which couldn't handle marriage.

@xarjef8509 This comment was gold lol
1
@salmansingh66 it would not be much different. Just less vodka and no communism
1
@r.mariano8118 Women with a husband and children generally have much different views than single women with no kids or single moms. They seem less likely to be brainwashed and think more of broader society than their selfish interests because they know their children will be stake holders in that society.

@Adur Pandya, A lot of stuff George Friedman predicted back then already came true. Hard to argue with the guy's logic going 100 years forward.

@randomware8653 I'm not sure the Russian invasion of Ukraine would look similar if they invaded the rest of Europe. The Russian government is in a catch 22 when it comes to Ukraine in regards to their own people not really being on board. Russians see Ukrainians as their relatives so seeing a bunch of dead bodies wouldn't do so well for support at home. Regular Russian military tactics call for them to simply level cities and march forward. They can't really do that in Ukraine for fear of civilian lives. If they went into Poland, it would be A LOT uglier and a lot faster.
1
@mrpanda6556 that is generally what happens when you sell out for a few bags of British gold.
1
@mrpanda6556 the Hashemites took British bribes also. Difference is unlike the Saudis they sold out for a lot. It didn’t take much for the Saudis to sell out, they did it for less. Read your history. I doubt the current ruling family is much different today than their grandfathers were. They’d sell their mothers if offered enough gold

What in the world is a zoomer?

@franksullivan1873 In recently history raising kids right shielded them from all the insanity and nonsense in society. But children today, the nonsense they're being fed is so often and so strong I'm not sure if even the best parenting can stop them from having flawed characters. We'll see come to fruition in like 20 years. The only real choice is homeschooling at this point. 10-20 years ago good parenting could save the day. Not sure so today.
1
@op25500 That is a very valid point

Will angry young men who've been completely emasculated and feminized rebel? Not sure. Sure there will be some who reject the brainwashing but will there be enough of them to perform a successful rebellion? Again I'm not so sure.
1
@Sidera17, That self hating woke culture you speak of hasn't infiltrated American society as much as people are led to believe. The fact that it's pushed so hard by mass media and entertaining gives it the illusion of being a widely adopted way of thinking. When in reality it represents such a small percentage of people who hold these ideas. For example how many people have you met who actually believe there are 150 different genders?
1
@ironmind258 Well they're going after the young kids via the educational system. So another 20 years of this garbage and no one is really safe. As far as an extreme war breaking out, I think a lot of these nations simply lack the ability to fight a prolonged war. They've emasculated their young male people so much that I don't believe they'll have enough young men who can do what is necessary in a conflict.
1
Iran Turkey Malaysia Kazakhstan and Indonesia are the potential future standouts in the Islamic world. Hard to say how this will play out and who will take the lead. My money is on Indonesia and Kazakhstan
1
@Shadow The Hedgehog, you tend to have an odd view of what is what. The only threat to Turkish expansion is Iran yet you're saying they don't pose a serious enough threat. Apparently the Turks don't agree. As far as Turkish influence on the Balkans you might want to do a bit of research. Aside from having a vice grip on the economies of the Muslim majority states you mentioned, they're also quite influential in nations like Serbia, Romania and Macedonia. Not to mention how Hungary has a habit of vetoing anything in the EU parliament the Turks don't like. I personally don't think Turkey will spread like this video predicts but not because of any of the ridiculous reasoning you've presented.
1
@shadowthehedgehog3113 You actually believe Nato will be as it is today in 100 years or that it will even exist? As far as what Greece "prefers" that's pretty irrelevant. In fact what anyone prefers is irrelevant. That simply isn't how this works. Your emotions can't change math.
1
@shadowthehedgehog3113 I don't know who is going to rule who. What I do know is Greece's demographics are horrendous and when that population plummets, someone nearby who's population hasn't plummeted will move in. Turkey at this point seems like the closest and best bet. One could have assumed it would be the Bulgarians but their demographics are almost as bad as Greece's. One would have assumed it would be the Italians, but again their demographics are also almost as bad as Greece's. So who does this leave? You can't fight math, it always wins.
1
@Rivar23 either way god be with you bro. Iraq has been a rough place past 20 years
1
@Hero Not mentioning that would be akin to having a documentary about alligators and not mentioning their bite force.
1
@Texas Red, even if they survived to this day they'd still be far behind the Roman Empires and some Empires in China. Now if they were able to keep a continual blood line of their original ruling family till today, yes that might be some sort of record.
