@goldgen7352 His family moved to the UK when he was 12, it said it in the video.

@leondrodonald7095 The fact there are a few wealthy families who produced fighters doesn't change the fact the vast majority of these fighters come from families who can barely afford shoes. The fact you mention Mcgregor in a conversation this has nothing to do with explains why you're being so irrational. It was odd how emotionally invested in another man some people are. Most people with this behavior were most likely raised by single mom's and mistook Mcgregor's ridiculous bravado for the masculinity they never saw growing up. They've now turned into anti-Khabib internet warriors because he destroyed the only father figure they've ever had lol Also I'd love for you to provide some sort of evidence that giving little children steroids will have long term positive effects on them. It's nothing short of insanity. One more thing, please be honest. Were you raised by a single mom?
2
Agreed. We'll compare him to Khabib if he can run through his entire division smashing everyone with ease. Time will tell.
1
@YourGrannysThong I'm not sure I agree with that. That region has a lot more monsters like him and now that the sport has been popularized, we just might see another Khabib every decade. If not more frequent. The people of that extremely small region are simply built different.
1
@YourGrannysThong Well it's not really that we have a difference of opinion it's more so we have different predictions that neither of us can really prove.
1
@YourGrannysThong No I didn't take it that way at all. I get where you're coming from and those types of "I'm right no matter what" crowd even on issues which aren't quantifiable were rare 20 years now. Now it seems like everyone is like that. I've actually put some thought into why this is. Generally people who are emotional get like that. Unfortunately considering most men these days were raised by single mom's their never learned in their formative years that facts are more important than their feelings. Lacking a rational unemotional male figure at a young age has really really messed a lot of people up. At least this is my non scientific (probably wrong) take on why we see this so often these days lol
1
@AR a lot of variables go into why the people from the North Caucasus dominate MMA. Genetics is probably the largest ingredient. North New Jersey had a very small community from the North Caucasus 20-30 years ago. And from this tiny little community they would consistently produce high end wrestlers, most of them being born, raised and trained in America. Genetics plays a huge part.
1
@mohammedyusuf3888 If that was the case why aren't Muslims from any other part of the world able to dominate in sports? It's simple evolutionary biology. The way they evolved in their environment made them perfectly suited for this type of fighting. Comparing these guys to genetically damaged Pakistani people for example is a ridiculous thing to do. Your weakest man from the North Caucasus would probably dominate the most physically gifted person from Pakistan. Religion has nothing to do with it.
1
@ARR409 What you have here is psychological. He is literally trying to find a way to take the success of these North Caucasus fighters and extrapolate it to himself. It's akin to me claiming people with the same hair color as me are dominate, so I can feel better about myself. Yes it's ridiculous but it is what it is. This guy has probably never had any experience with anyone from the region these fighters come from. If he did, he'd realize how different they are than him in culture, behavior and mindset. If you threw a bunch of Pakistani and Arabs into the North Caucasus they'd all end up getting murdered because their behavior would be the anti-thesis to how these people live and what they consider acceptable. The fact he is trying to throw his lot into a group of people who are so different than him is quite interesting.
1
@fuscian If anyone leaves Dagestan for "political reasons" it means they can never go back. It probably means they left because they feared being murdered by the Russian security forces who act like SS storm troopers in the North Caucasus. So yea, I doubt he was "going back and forth" with his family.
1
@ARR409 I agree with a lot of what you've been saying in this thread. But no bro Chechnya and Dagestan are not farmer cultures. In fact there is very little land in that mountainous region you can actually farm. For most of their history they've had two ways to make a living. Animal husbandry and more importantly as mercenaries. The Seljuks actually hired an entire unit of these guys in the battle where they conquered Anatolia. These guys were also mercenaries for the Egyptian empire until they realized how weak the indigenous people were and essentially took over the entire country before starting an empire of their own called the Mamluk empire. Not much farming in their history. Either way though it is impressive that you know of the Scythians and Alans.
1
@ZamraHh-y3t Never conquered another group of people? Seriously? Never heard of the Avar empire? Scythian Empire? The Kipchak Kuman federation? Not to mention a handfull of these guys went to Egypt as mercenaries at Egypt's height and literally took over the entire country making their own empire called the Mamluk Empire. It was this group of people who also set up the Khazar empire in that region. A bunch of them converted to Judaism oddly enough and started that empire. Not to mention they were attacked by Russia who had millions and millions of troops and were able to hold back the Russians for about 150 years with less than 30 thousand soldiers. Yes the guy you're debating Mohammad Yusuf is probably a genetically damaged inbred with a low IQ and is pretty much making insane statements over and over again. But that doesn't change how wrong you are about the history of the people from that region.
1
@mohammedyusuf3888 A lot of times discipline and self control are also governed by your genes. Just like impulse control is genetic. If your contention that a culture or religion could magically give you these traits. Why are people from genetically damaged Islamic nations like Pakistan unable to produce such people? Why are people from the North Caucasus dominate wrestlers regardless of where they're raised and what culture they grow up in? Why are Christians and Atheists from the North Caucasus also dominate wresters? If your theory was correct none of what I said would be true. Yet it's all true. Why are you trying so hard to build a connection from their talents to yourself? There is no connection there. They are quite literally the exact opposite of you in 99% of the criteria you can imagine. They act different, their instincts are different, their culture is different, the way they treat people is different, they way they process information is different. That's almost like saying Italians and Nigerians are the same because they're both Catholic. It's pure and simple insanity.
1
@mohammedyusuf3888 Any little thing in a person's life has an impact on them. But something which has such a small impact on their success as a grappler being taken to the heights you claim they're at is pure and simple insanity. Also the Byzantine culture wasn't very big on Gladiators. That was mostly the western Roman Empire who btw got the idea from North African tribes. Read more bro, the world is vastly more complex than these neat little boxes you like to fit things into. Also people controlling their desires isn't a religion thing, it's a genetics thing. Your genetics have an impact on your impulse control. If religion could enhance your impulse control, then how come it hasn't helped the Arabs and Pakistanis who have insane corruption rates and rape rates. How come Islam can help this guy have impulse control yet give Pakistani people zero impulse control? Perhaps there is something else at play here?
1
@mohammedyusuf3888 That is simply not true. Never heard of the Ossets who also live in the Caucasus who happen to be orthodox Christians? How about the Georgians in the Caucasus an entire country with millions of people who also happen to be Christian? Btw both groups of people who also produce an insane amount of high level wrestlers. Also the ones that are Muslim, how Islam is intertwined in their lives and behavior is a lot different than how Islam is intertwined in the lives of people in places like Pakistan or Saudi Arabia. You're literally comparing apples to oranges. The most famous people in history from that region is Imam Shamil. Who btw wasn't famous for being a scholar, he was famous for being a kick arse war general. Can you please stop making things up which simply aren't true just because you want them to be true? Another reason why you're so different from these Caucasus fighters. They aren't liars, you are.
1
@fuscian Being safer today than it was 30 years ago still doesn't mean it's "safe." That place will never be safe when under the boot of the brutal Russian occupation. Yes some years it's worse than others. But still never really safe. Never will be till the Russians are gone.
1
@mohammedyusuf3888 It's funny how your own lack of reading comprehension you turn around and throw back at me. I never claimed it wasn't intertwined in their lives. What I claimed was it plays a vastly smaller role in why they're successful than you seem to think it is. I even put up evidence of how this is the case which you completely ignore. Yet you still persist, it's like playing chess against someone who's king has been captured but they still want to play, it's insanity. Then you have the audacity to turn around and claim someone else isn't comprehend what they're reading. This is extremely strange and irrational behavior which few humans tend to have. Let me ask you an honest question and please give me an honest answer. Is your family inbred? As in, in your family tree have people been marrying their cousins? If the answer is yes, the genetic damage from the inbreeding might explain the irrationality. I've seen this before.
1
@fuscian Yes it's an illusion but it's also a quantifiable thing. Such as the odds of something happening to you. Again just because it's safer today than it was 20 year ago doesn't mean it still isn't hella dangerous. More dangerous than most places we live. Also there are different types of dangerous. I've been to the North Caucasus and it's very safe for visiting. But don't forget the political climate for the locals. Especially if you've pissed off the gestapo of the occupation forces (Russians) That is a very dangerous thing.
1
@mohammedyusuf3888 What in the world are you talking about. You haven't addressed one single point I made. Debating with genetically damaged inbreds feels like banging your head against a wall.
1
@HessianLikeTheFabric Farmers usually have a cow or two and this had been more common place in the past. For getting milk and what not. People are who are in animal husbandry business generally had an entire flock. Rarely in the past would you find people who could do both on a larger scale. And today with the division of labor and specialization no one will do both on a large scale. You either grow stuff or raise animals. Yes people who raise animals have gardens and people who grow food might have a cow or two but they are entirely different industries.
1
@HessianLikeTheFabric All good I'm sure every region has their own wording for such work.
1
@bobbys1308 Most of the Mamlukes were from the North Caucasus. Now some of the tribes in the North Caucasus are Turkic but that doesn't really equate to the majority of Mamlukes being "mostly" Turkic. And yes I agree with you that many of these communities have been quite powerful in history and are in stark contrast to the rest of the Islamic world who inbreed at terrifying rates producing generations upon generations of genetically damaged offspring. Also I wouldn't put Indonesians on any list with Pakistanis and Arabs. Indonesians don't inbreed and they have on average extremely high IQs. It's a highly successful civilization. Using them in any sentence with Arabs and Pakistani people is ridiculous.
1
This guy is outright hilarious. "Turning his face into a Halloween mask" 🤣
1
This kid looks like a legit prospect. But he'd have to show me A LOT more for me to compare him to Khabib.
1
@Nils, The Russian security forces in the North Caucasus are like Nazi storm troopers. If you're unlucky enough to catch their attention (for what ever reason, even looking at one of them funny) You either flee or your entire family gets murdered.
1
@RN The scary part is MMA recently became popular in that region. With the success of Khabib and other fighters and the popularity of the sport growing in that region. Imagine how many of these monsters we're going to see in 10-20 years.
1
Perfect analogy. Some regions for one reason or another just produce a certain kind of person with a very specific ungodly talent in something. Don't race the Jamaicans. Don't wrestle the North Caucasians. Don't do math with Koreans lol
1
It's evolutionary biology at play.
1
@delishamikayla3325 It's mostly their genetic makeup which makes them so dominate. Surely some of them have intense discipline which helps but discipline won't get you far if you don't have the dominate genes to do what they do.
1
@Matt how many guys do you know that went undefeated in the UFC for their entire career? All fighters will have wins against terrible fighters in their careers. How else do you think they're going to move up the ranks? If Khabib's record wasn't that hard. He wouldnt' be the only person on the planet with that record.
1
@STiergoofball I'm not sure it's that simple. When the Gracie's showed up they had a brand of grappling people had simply never seen before. Eventually they figured it out. With these guys from the North Caucasus it isn't like they're doing moves no one had ever seen before. It's the same playbook, everyone knows exactly what they're going to do, they just can't stop it. With the Gracie's it was a different style that made them untouchable (which people figured out) With these North Caucasus guys it's mostly their freakish genetics. You can train till your eyes turn blue, odds are you won't be as good as them. It will be a much tougher nut to crack. These guys will probably be topping the MMA charts for the next 50 years.
1
@STiergoofball You make some good arguments that's for sure. But it's hard to be a UFC champion if they "are only dominate against guys with no wrestling skills at all." Also it's not shocking that Arman Tsrukyan was one of the few who gave Islam a hard time. There is a small percentage of Armenian people from the North of Armenia who actually share some genes with people from the North Caucasus due to the close proximity which lends even more weight to the genetics theory on why these people are so dominate. I wouldn't be shocked if in the future we'll see a few Georgian fighters come up and give these guys a grappling run for their money. Also a fighter having a few tough fights where they looked less than dominate doesn't really take away from the championship runs they had and how horrible they dominated their divisions for large stretches. Fighters aren't robots and a lot goes into having a good fight or a bad fight on a given night. Either way it's still surreal that such a small area of the planet with an extremely small population is producing so many top dog MMA talents.
1
@leondrodonald7095 Most people in that region don't have access steroids. Let alone poor families finding it to give to their 4 year old sons lol
1
@leondrodonald7095 So essentially you're saying your contention that giving steroids to 5 year old kids gives them an edge later in life turned into a rant about Mcgregor? That is your argument? You also didn't answer my question on if you were raised by a single mom or not.
1
@leondrodonald7095 Throwing out random childish insults like beta zombie isn't going to help you prove your point. Russian athletes constantly cheating and being barred from adult competition doesn't really help your case that fighters from Dagestan have an advantage because they were given steroids when they were 5 years old. If there ever is a purge, generally people with low IQs and low reasoning abilities will die first. Good luck with that.
