Piers Morgan is the type of guy who would go to a funeral of a child who has been killed by the settlers and the first thing he'd ask the parents is "do you condemn Hamas."

@Chthonian121 Armenia's lobby power in America is about 1000x more than what the Azeris are able to muster with their money. The fact no one is covering this much has nothing to do with either. It is simply seen as a not so important region of the world and a conflict between two not so important nations.

@tethergobrrr A lot of people are waking up to these realities, myself included. This recent flare up really forced a lot of us to do a deep dive into what is going on. Just imagine being shocked that a group of people who've had their homes stolen, their children slaughtered and the survivors stuffed into the world's only concentration camp for nearly 2 decades just might get violent if they ever break out from the concentration camp.

@62ndAlpha Something doesn't become false because your emotions want it to be false. You have to demonstrate how and why it is false. And yes they did leave a lot out, like all the footage circulating around the media of Israeli settlers and soldiers killing over 300 children just in the past few months in the west bank.

@Spirit_Inspiration Don't let Piers Morgan here this. They'll have a meltdown.

@maryamaghaian393 So let me understand your point here. When Armenia invades Azerbaijan and occupies a HUGGEEEE swath of territory which accounts for 20% of the country and ethnically cleanses 800,000 civilians you're okay with that? But when Azerbaijan is holding on to a piece of land smaller than the property my house is on it's a huge problem for you? Honestly on a scale of 1-10 just how insane are you?
10
@nalajoshomk6055 This is true. But this situation isn't going to last long. Right now it's on it's last legs and has entered decline.
8
@maryamaghaian393 Is this how you rationalize one nation illegally invading another nation's internationally recognized territory and brutally ethnically cleansing 800,000 civilians? Are you insane?
6
@Kotkotlecik7310 Unlike Armenia Poland doesn't have territorial claims on every single one of it's neighbors except one. Unlike Armenia Poland hasn't recently invaded their neighbor's internationally recognized territory and brutally ethnically cleansed 800,000 civilians. So yea, pretty different situation.

This is one of those super rare conflicts you'll see where it's extremely clear who is in the right and who is in the wrong.

Lets assume the worst and imagine Russia did invade Estonia. These women are going to defend Estonia? Seriously? People have been watching far too many left wing action movies.
3
@ninaazar4117 Let me take a wild guess. "It never happened" right? Those 800,000 Azeri civilians just up and vanished into thin air right? Nothing to see here, no genocide no ethnic cleansing. Just sweep it under the rug right?
3
@firstlast9916 There are 1000s of videos online about the settler violence. People being shot in the streets like dogs. Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it isn't happening. The situation is so bad and so violent, that even the number one defend and ally of the Israelis (the American government) has issued sanctions against these settlers for violence.

They paid a lot. 5 million migrants. Kurdish separatist groups now having a safe haven in Northern Syria because of a power vacuum. I can go on and on. Again in hindsight Assad was right, Turkey paid an extremely heavy price. One they'll be paying for quite a well.

@bretcarpenterable. Your comment has not aged well. Imagine throwing all your chips onto a sinking ship.

I guess anyone can conveniently dub themselves "god's chosen people" to mask their crimes.
1
@MustardSkaven The people in the west bank? What did they do to provoke this? Well according to the Israeli settlers they've done 2 things. 1. They were born the wrong ethnicity. 2. They happen to be living on a piece of land someone else wants. Those two things are their crimes.
1
@Shefin Habeeb, it's hard to make a statement claiming somehow the suffering on both sides was anywhere near on par.
1
@shefinhabeeb7613 Again you're missing the context of the proportion of crimes. When Armenia invaded Nagorno Karabakh in the 1990s they ethnically cleansed over half a million people. When Azerbaijan took the territory back a few months ago around 100 civilians died. You're seriously going to draw a moral equivalency between these two events? Are you insane?
1
@Der_Gewagte Few people are going to side with the only apartheid regime on the planet which is now taking part in the targeting of civilians on a scale the world hasn't seen since WW2. The age of mass information is here, hiding crimes isn't as easy anymore.
1
I find it surreal that the Guardian just completely ignores the 800lbs elephant in the room, when Armenia invaded Azerbaijan in the 1990s and brutally ethnically cleansed 800,000 civilians. So these protestors, what exactly do they want the Armenian government to do? Go help the illegal occupation force in Nagorno Karabakh which is guilty of massive ethnic cleansing? Is that what the protestors want?

This isn't journalism. It is nothing short of crafting false narratives. It is what they do, it is their first reflex. It is almost like they can't help themselves. But this is the age of the internet, spoon feeding people half truths and false narratives simply doesn't work anymore. Which is why the ratings of these types of media outlets are tanking. People want facts and the truth, not false narratives.

To be fair the vast majority of the UN Security Council agreed to stop this. The U.K. Abstained from the vote and America vetoed it. The rest of the planet wants to stop this.
