  4. @jasonbauter2512. That is the biggest problem I've had with our society. We love to be all patriotic and cheer while we send our boys off the war. Then we pretend they don't exist when they come home injured. I remember the build up to the Iraq war well. I was dead set against it and was called unpatriotic. My point was simple, I am doing this because I'm patriotic, I don't want all these young men to have their lives ruined. Which in hindsight is exactly what happened. Young men my age came home in body bags, legs blown off, arms blown off, some with psychological issues and they were treated like trash. Some killed themselves, others are now homeless. Don't send the boys off the war if you're not willing to take care of them when they get home. PERIOD.

  5.  @gkagara  The trauma of war messes with people, not to mention he is paralyzed. You don't send your boys off to war if you're not willing to take care of them when they get back. It is especially hard for IDF soldiers who's job is essentially slaughtering women and children. That is a different type of trauma I guess.

  8. @anisa_ganae It is easy to shout such slogans as you did but I have a serious question for you. What exactly do you expect them to do? Take their huge army and march south with it? Do you have any idea what would happen if they did that? That immediately sparks WW3. If Turkey mobilizes and moves south there is no force in that region capable of slowing them down, there is literally no way Israel will be able to withstand that. There is no way America will be able to mobilize what is needed to stop that jagurnaught before it overruns Israel. So in a situation like this what do you think happens? Israel launches nukes. After that I'm sure you can guess what happens. Think through what you're saying here.

  10. Their government officials have said everyone in Gaza is a target. So it isn't hard to believe this kind of behavior from the military force that has the record for the most war crimes of any current military.

  13.  jdarcy1862  Who are mostly underground in tunnels. How many of those fighters have died? Barely any, all the IDF has been doing is targeting women and children. You can't point to another war in modern history with a civilian/combatant kill ratio like this. Nothing even remotely close to this. In the Ukraine Russia war lose to 700,000 combatants have died compared to about 6 thousand civilians. In Gaza roughly 600 combatants of died compared to about 12,000 civilians. That is an insane ratio. You can't have a ratio like this unless you're actively trying to slaughter women and children.

That people half way across the world are willing to take action which will hurt them personally just to do the right thing and how he doesn't see this action from his own people in his own region. He isn't wrong. The public in many Arab nations simply isn't willing to do what is necessary to put the pressure needed on their governments. This has nothing to do with looking for allies.

As far as the rest of your post, are you saying that because bad things were done in the past that bad things should be done today? Is that your argument?   18.  @Mo-np1me  The biggest supporter of Israel in the middle east is the UAE then Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Turkey hasn't done what was expected of it for the Palestinians and I'm their number one critic on this issue. But to sit there with a straight face and claim they're Israel's biggest supporter in the middle east is not only demonstrably false, it is also an insane thing to say which flys in the face of all reality and facts. Lets try to be a little more realistic please.

  20.  @daves465  I'd imagine what happens to a member of a genocidal army invading someone else's and slaughtering civilians is a lot different than what civilians walking around their own neighborhood being attacked like this by an occupational force. The fact you'd even try to put them on the same moral plane is outright insanity. Seriously it might be best if you guys kept quiet, the more insane things you say the worse you end up looking.

  21. Erdo for sure is 100% right in what he says about Israel/Palestine and the genocide going on there. However please don't praise Erdo for his Syria policy during the Obama administration. Erdo actually helped Obama along with Saudi money to mess Syria up. The dude has made some crazy mistakes. As far as you being an Albanian claiming a long history of fighting both for and against Turks, this is true. In fact a large chunk of the highest ranking officers in the Turkish military today are of Albanian descent.

In short I agree with you, we're headed nowhere good. :O( Which really turns my stomach because there are so many good honest people here. Everyone's quality of life is going to drop because of a minority of psychos which have taken over our government. Seeing homeless vets is probably one of the worst things we can witness as an American.

  24. The fact people think Turkey's foreign policy will change when the government changes are unfortunately delving into wishful thinking at best and delusion at worst. Turkey's policy toward Europe has mostly been based on Europe's policy toward them. Which unfortunately has reached a breaking point and I'm not sure there is ever any going back.

  28.  @anonym-pm6mj  Anyone has any right to critique anyone. But you also have to understand how the world works when formulating a talking point. Even if Erdogan himself is a hypocrite, he is still elected by his people and by that feels pressure by those people. There is a tipping point at which he is going to have to act physically to intervene. I can't say where that tipping point is but it does exist. Also people who are ignorant of the world find it easy to say "oh Turkey should act, Turkey should send their army." These people have zero clue as to what exactly would happen if Turkey did such a thing. These people might also not realize what kind of army Turkey has. If Turkey mobilizes and marches south, there is literally nothing in that region which can stop them. Even America simply doesn't have enough in the region to even slow them down, by the time America mobilizes enough to stop them, they'll will have already overrun Israel. Israel simply does not have what is needed to stop them. So what do you think happens when Israel is confronted with something they just can't stop and will overrun them with ease? They'll launch nukes. Once those nukes launch what do you think happens next? WW3. 100s of millions die. So enough of these 3rd grade talking points of what people think Turkey should or shouldn't do without thinking this through. It isn't some micky mouse state like Egypt or Saudi Arabia. If they commit to this, it is WW3 and none of us will survive. You want to critique Erdogan and Turkey for acting too slowly on other issues pertaining to Israel? 100% I'm on board with that and I'll join you in critiquing them. Did they take far too long to ban all trade? Absolutely and they're pieces of sh!t for taking their time on it. But this trope I hear about them not taking physical action is insane. They warn and warn for a reason, because words like that coming from a nation with that type of military is something people listen to. They don't want to do it nor should you want them to do it.

In that sense Turkey is a Muslim country. But you're right about the Middle Eastern part. It isn't a Middle Eastern country.

If you look at how the west has behaved in the past 200 years, the only other group you can compare it to is perhaps the Mongols. The sheer level of destruction, devastation and barbarism. The Islamic civilizations would have to up their game and 100x what they've done to even come close. Hell you can put most other civilizations on that list as well. I swear if there was a giant meteor coming toward earth and I explained to her what was about to happen. She'd be like "what do you think about Hamas."
