A functioning society wouldn't even need to have a law like this. It would simply fall under any sort of child abuse law.

@Snuggles, Obvious in this country we believe children aren't responsible enough to make a life altering decision like getting a tattoo. But having their penis chopped off without the permission of their parents is fine. Something really foul is afoot.

The truth left our society a very long time ago. I remember when I realized we're in a post truth society. The build up to the Iraq war, it was all too obvious back then the truth in our society had been murdered.

So let me get this straight. This bill does 3 things. 1. Bans the chemical castration of children. 2. Doesn't force teachers to cause greater harm to children with a mental disorder by taking part in their delusion. 3. Doesn't let young boys enter the young girl's bathrooms. The fact this media outlet tries to frame this as controversial is quite literal insanity.

@Cole Johnston Canada is ruled by a dictatorial authoritarian regime that simply doesn't want laws like this. So you won't get laws like this.

@ydnark83 If verbal bullying is against the law, I'd imagine one could easily make the argument that no using someone's proper pronoun is bullying. I mean if disagreeing with someone could be a form of violence, that isn't a big stretch. Go misgender someone and find out. This is generally how dictatorships and authoritarian regimes work. They word laws in such a way they can then decide who to throw in jail and who not to.
