@larryc1616 you can’t tariff a country you don’t trade with genius. If you have sanctions on them and refuse to trade with them, what will you place tariffs on genius

@eymaslacker, if they're going to use those reserves as a bargaining chip, they're out of their minds. There is no amount of money that is going to see Russia back down on a lot of these issues. Especially after they've had to restructure their entire economy and lost so many lives to get what they have.
13
@Arnsteel634 what it means is quite simple.
10
@annabellelee4535 over 95% of world oil is still being sold in dollars. So the petro dollar isn't dead. But it is going to die.

@seeker2118. It is going to get to a point where keeping those bases in Iraq and Syria just isn't going to be sustainable.

This is pretty much how it is going to play out. Sure we’ll still buy the stuff we absolutely need even at higher prices. But like you said the total amount of things we buy will significantly shrink. We probably probably spend more than we realize on inexpensive items we simply don’t need. Once prices hike we’ll just stop buying them even if we can afford them.
4
I’m not so sure about that. There are price points at which people will slow down spending. Not just people who can’t afford it but also with people who can afford it. Here is a small example. Let’s say my wife wants a different color dish washer even though our dish washer works perfectly fine. If a new washer is 1200 dollars we will replace it. If it costs 2000 dollars we might just say 2k isn’t worth just getting a new color. If these prices rise to a certain point. Consumer spending will tank. Just people cutting back on junk they don’t even need will tank consumer spending. Also if Trump believes we will simply buy America made at the same level the public spends on cheap items from China they don’t need, he is going to have a rude awakening. If forced people will learn to make due with what they have and stop “upgrading” so often

@lawrence208 where you going to buy a microwave? Just one small example.

Because we don't feel the need to intimidate Israel.

@zackosborn1731 china is importing soy beans from Brazil

@eymaslacker I think people in Europe had no clue just how much influence the globalists had over their leaders. Major European nations, their leaders do not feel they are accountable to their voters. Especially places like Germany. People keep talking about a backlash from the people and what not. It won't matter, the damage is done. Europe is finished. Their real only hope to get out of this geo political and geo energy nightmare would have been if they had somehow pulled Turkey into their ranks. Then they would have had access to cheap energy resources from Central Asia and the middle east. Now that ship has sailed too. They've now burned bridges with the only two nations capable of delivering the cheap energy required to run European industry.

Bond yields go up when people stop buying them. The rate must go up to attract new investors. When the yields skyrocket it means two things. 1. We get wrecked because the cost to borrow is going up 2. Shows that investors world wide are losing confidence in the US government.

Provided the Saudi/Iran relationship doesn't fall apart. The strait won't be closed.

@martee888 The apartheid state would never allow it.
1
@lawrence208 which accounts for the vast majority of things people buy and sell

@ go find one and let me know

@ they’re not under the thumb of the Zionists who will force them to destroy themselves. The Russians seem to be okay
1
@michaelkatz275 says the bond markets. Great indicator of who investors trust
1
@thehumus8688 Meh they're more similar than they'd like to admit. Both have the same amounts of inbreeding which causes massive genetic damage.

@Sisket33. UAE- You won't see protests in the UAE because after America the UAE is one of the most pro Israel nations on this planet. Indonesia- There are protests. Egypt-There are limited protests but a lot of them are being beaten up by police and thrown into torture chambers. The Zionist installed dictator there is afraid that pro Palestinian protests will morf into anti regime protests at the drop of a hat. He isn't wrong either, his people hate him.

@ Trump’s team is incompetent, ill give you that. You know what else is incompetent? You thinking tartıffs on nations which already don’t trade makes any sense. We’ve gone beyond tariffs with Russia, we have a full blown sanctions block aid on them. (Not that it is working the way we thought)

Saudi Arabia is basically just making noise so people on the street won't notice how far on Israel's side they are. It isn't just the people of Gaza who will remember this, most of the global south will remember this as well.
1
@eymaslacker I am not sure any of that is even going to move the needle an inch. It is a bit too late for all that. Once Ukraine and the rest decide to "negotiate" it will basically be accepting like 99% of Russia's terms. They literally have no leverage left, nothing. They've thrown everything at them plus the kitchen sink already. America will walk away from this with a huge hit to it's reputation but nothing more than that. But the hit Europe is going to take they probably won't ever recover from.
1
@annabellelee4535 If that were true and israel believed what you're saying. They'd immediately call for a ceasefire knowing Gaza will break it. It would be a win win for them. There is a reason they're not doing that. They want these people to starve to death. This isn't a war, it is an extermination.
1
Crazy part is that Israel killed more civilians in 14 days than the total number of civilians that died in in 1.5 years of a huge war in Ukraine. It is almost like you'd have to try to kill that many civilians to get a death toll that high.
1
@malisangarepa1809 I'm not so sure about that. Especially if you consider their track record.
1
Yup that soft power stick the globalists were wielding like a weapon is no impotent. The moment they talk about democracy, rule of law and human rights the entire global south is going to burst into laughter.
1
@ that is a given. This is the type of society we’ve built. Unfortunately it is who we are. A “me” only driven civilization
