@m_bll3 They tend to pick the ones which have 2 things in common. 1. Nations which aren't occupied or haven't been brutally invaded and occupied recently. 2. Nations which have low rates of inbreeding. The genetic damage from inbreeding tends to lead to a society in chaos. Afghanistan is a hellhole due to their geography and the fact they're constantly being invaded. No matter what their government is or isn't, or what religion they are isn't going to change those 2 elephants in the room. Iran, Iran seems very stable. But Iran has economic problems due to the fact they've been shut out of the world global financial system for various reasons. Two horrible examples.

@boznsjbruhstudios6383 Yes they will. It is a fragile regime which for all it's money doesn't even have the ability to defend itself. Pissing off nearly every citizen in the surrounding region isn't exactly a recipe for long term success. I don't think that regime will last more than 30 more years. If that, for a lot of reasons not just this.

What in the world does "modern way of life mean." I'm a westerner who has lived in Turkey part time for the past 20 years. And I can comfortably say that the most annoying people I've come across in Turkey were the so called "modern way of life people." You know, the ones so ignorant about what modern is that they think drinking alcohol and destroying your liver is modern. Yet everything else they do is arse backwards, such as how they treat people and how prone to corruption they are.
