@duhni4551 Obviously they do since Sweden and Finland are in full blown panic mode.

@DigNap15, I could be wrong but I'm fairly sure the world's largest military alliance isn't going to make decisions on "what you'd rather tell" X,Y or Z country.

@keimok1717 I've been reading up on the latest flareups in the Aegean Sea. Your characterization of it is pretty fantastical.

If it were that simple it would have been done many times in the past. Your solution will end up causing more problems than it will solve.

@PedroVeternao80 How to join Nato for Sweden. 1.- I will finance armed groups which are blowing up hospitals and schools in a Nato nation, then act surprised when that nation threatens to veto my application. 😂

@jaridkeen123 Who are you responding to? I don't remember anyone claiming members will be defended if they go on the attack.

French& Scottish So Swedes who don't want to join Nato are suddenly Turkish trolls? Hmm tell us more lol

@sampohonkala4195 With Finland yes, this can probably be negotiated and agreed upon. With Sweden it isn't so simple. Understanding the outrage at a nation financing groups which blow up hospitals and schools is a difficult task. Even if the Turkish government wanted to let Sweden in, they wouldn't be able to because of the public blacklash. Won't happen, not with elections looming on the horizon. Erdogan is basically stuck between pressure from the west to admit Sweden and Finland vs pressure from his own people to veto Sweden. If I had to guess he'll side with the political pressure from his people, like all politicians he wants to win elections.

@sampohonkala4195 Saying no wins him an election. The public there are vehemently against letting Sweden in and with elections looming it's quite obvious how this is going to play out.

@HunterDeRiot Yes they got the light but it's not done. Turkey essentially announced the Veto will be back on if Sweden does not adhere to the agreement it signed. So it will be interesting to see if Sweden does what it promised to do or if it will drag it's feet.

@HunterDeRiot Sweden is still nervously waiting for it as well biting their nails.
