  1. Macron thought France was the United States of America and decided to project military strength. End result? He was reminded France isn't the United States and the nation he tried to intimidate didn't back down. What did Macron do? Told his fleet to back off with it's tail tucked between it's legs. Moral of the story, don't play the bully unless you're going to call the opposite side's next move. French prestige took a big hit.
