@Guildelin, I'm not sure they have much of a choice, they have to come up with some sort of excuse. The only leverage Russia really has on the global stage is the threat of their mighty military. Must be terrifying for them as the world watches little Ukraine slow them down with inexpensive Stingers, Javelins and TB2 drones. I'd imagine all three of those items will be on every small nation's wishlist.

This conflict goes to show how much the nature of conflict has changed. Cheaper defensive weapons have really come a long way in the last 20 years and are now at a point where they can inflict massive loses on much more expensive hardware. The stinger and javaline missiles the United States sent and the TB2 Drones purchased from Turkey show how a smaller nation with limited resources can inflict heavy damage on a much larger invading army. High tech small arms and inexpensive high tech drones will probably be the future of warfare. I'd imagine many nations are watching. I'm not sure I buy the Russian story of how a push into Kyiv was a feint. But either way it doesn't matter. Can anyone reading this with a straight face claim that they didn't think the Russians would cut through Ukraine like a knife through butter? As soon as the Russians moved in I thought it was game over for Ukraine, glad I was wrong.

We've been seeing this type of news since the first day the war started. Russia is running out of soldiers. Russia is running out of planes. Russia is running out of bullets. Now Russia is apparently running out of artillery munitions? I hope it's true but if I was a betting man I'd have to say no.
