  1. Red dwarfs are very active stars, with turbulent surfaces which spew flares much more and much more intensely than the sun does. A planet close enough to be in their "habitable" zones would have their atmospheres stripped by powerful radioactivity and solar wind. If this is a "water world", its entire surface is boiling due to lack of air pressure, and the water vapor is being stripped away just like any other gas.

The arrays of radio telescopes which have been scouring the space of 360° and a million light years around us for nearly a century now, have never detected a single artificially -produced signal. If there are life-bearing planets within any of that, they must consist of nothing but microbes and bugs.
