@scraw3 There's much that science knows by now re the ways animals think and behave. The old favorite, "insects don't feel pain" was debunked long ago, for one of hundreds of examples.

@Terapagos3000 Most animals are assholes. Elephants will abandon their own offspring, I got a low opinion of elephants when I saw something on that. One left an infant male and rejected it, and it was crying just like a human kid. Elephants may or may not come to the aid of a female if it's in trouble and starts yelling, but never if it's a male elephant.
