Early 20th century and the majority of people we 're still ignorant to what life was. They believed in what they we're 'Told' as children by their parents and that was final. The Church always uses fear to get you to conform. Fear is opposing to Love. So, why the fear tactic? Why would anyone believe in something out of fear? Ignorance?
