@rachelderenoncourt3881 Why are ypu disappointed ? In the 1980s, the Israeli economy was in total disarray with hyperinflation. Now, its GDP per capita is higher than Germany. Inflation is 5% - better than US.

The Left brought us many problems when they governed in years gone by - Oslo war, Disengagement War, The Left wanted to withdraw from the Golan Heights - thus bringing Syria's civil war to our doorstep. The Left wanted to keep our Natural Gas inside the ground and not exploit it. The Left kept telling us that it was impossible to reach a peace with the Arab World so long we kept Judea & Samaria. The Left believe in all sort in absurd policies. It is really difficult to think of even one tiny area where the Left got it right.

@humblecharlie4383 Nothing to do with the bible. There are literally tons of archaeological artifacts prove the existence of Ancient Israel and Judea. There is also linguistic evidence in the development and evolution of the Hebrew language (a semitic language written from left to right). Some people also point out genetic evidence from DNA studies of Jewish people.

Compulsory military service is not the huge big thing it used to be years ago. Many people can get out of serving all together. This is not the 1980s or 1990s. Men who serve spend 2 years and 6 months in the military,. As the population continuously expands, there will be a gradual shift to a professional army over the next 20 years or so.

@ZangariRC Ben Gurion said those words BEFORE kristallnacht - when German Jews had been forced out of their jobs, had to wear special badges, not allowed into parks, theatres, not allowed to employ maids etc. There was no certainly mass slaughter BEFORE Kristallnacht. When Ben Gurion said "rescued" he meant saving them from humiliation, denied education, kept in poverty etc etc Ben Gurion (& Nobody) knew in 1937 what would happen a few years later.
