In Tsarist name, there were similar regional edicts (around early 1800s) that told the Jews there to pick a Russian family name. That is how Netanyahu's family became a Miliekowsky - they were told that their old Hebrew name was no longer a.cceptable. Fuck them - Netanyahu exists !
