Amongst the Brits, there is a proportion of people whose family name is Holland, French, Farage (French Hugenaut origin) etc. But as you realize, such names are a minority.
Most British people who have a geographical name, have a name referring to places in the UK egs Galloway, Bath, Buxton, Mullen, England, Sheffield etc etc.
Amongst the Arabs in Israel, this works in reverse.
Something smells fishy.
