  1. Except the 1967 line was NEVER a border, It is a defunct cease-fire line. The Israelis in 1949 where happy to make it a border but the Arabs overruled them. The Arabs felt that agreeing to a formal border would give Israel legitimacy. So the 1967 lines are DEFUNCT CEASE FiRE LINES.
