@TheNumber2287 If he needs perspective, he should lie on his back & let someone run over him with lawnmowers.

@AmericanNohbuddy The indy shows don't daw like WWE. There's no large promotion. Sure he can wrestle indy. Hell, I wrestled indy once (I did a run-in that turned into a battle royal at the end of a show. It was INTENSE fun.) What I'm saying is that there's no other promotion that gets the coverage that WWE has. It's the alpha & omega.

@TheNumber2287 He absolutely did. But right now, they won't work with him & since there's a bunch of new talent as the guys from his era are now in Dixie Carter's nursing home, it would be hard to work any feasible angles. I was pointing out the fact that big-biz practices are what the protesters are demonstrating against & those same practices are why he's stuck calling spots & taking bumps with Orlando-fucking-Jordan in... where was it? Spain or some shit like that?

Yeah. The road is a tough life. What's so sad about is that the WWE monopoly is so much more to blame now because it used to be that a wrestler stayed in a smaller circuit & actually got to enjoy some relative normalcy. They had certain places they ate. Certain gyms. Certain places to crash at night. Whenever it was a large event, they got time to prepare instead of going off helter-skelter. If it ever gets back to smaller markets, they might live a little longer by reducing stress.

@AmericanNohbuddy Ironically, Warrior can't even wrestle in the US now because he burned his bridge with WWE. Now he can't even make money (not to say he hasn't made money otherwise). The same big-biz monopoly concept ruined his chance at making a living. Isn't that why they're protesting anyway?

Actually, there is pressure to look good in wrestling. It makes all the difference in the world. The better you look the more marketable you are. Aside from that, wrestlers have a very grueling schedule that requires tons of travel, sleep deprivation & very little recovery time from intense workouts. No 1's holding a gun to their heads but it's a necessary evil in their chosen trade. And yes, Vince created a monopoly. Can you even name TNA's roster? Better yet, why is Warrior working in Spain?

@TheNumber2287 Maybe the Fates will be kind & Vince ends up spending all their money on her campaign. Then maybe a class action suit will get filed & awarded to the families of the dead wrestlers. Then Vince will have to sell his company piecemeal. Then maybe the market will scale down & there will be some actual competition. It'll be just like the Jim Crockett days of yore. Then the fans will appreciate when the WWF came to our city.

@TheNumber2287 Yep. I agree. A guy that size who's already suffering (maybe that's not the right word) from the acromegaly shouldn't be doing all that traveling; especially not commercial traveling. His heart never got a break. In truth, the demand is partly to blame. It's a damned shame. (didn't mean to rhyme)

@TheNumber2287 I don't think they care much about dying. Imagine seeing yourself on that Jumbotron, walking down the aisle & high-fiving a 9yo whose wearing a t-shirt with your face on it & holding up an action figure modeled after you. You wanna talk about an ego boost that would make you feel invincible? That's it with some boost to spare. Aside from that, they're thinking about the money they make & how it can afford the best doctors in the biz. Ego is funny like that.

@bzes10 Actually, Warrior ain't really down with the FNC guys. That argument with Hannity was epic. But Cenk is correct that Warrior is terribly misinformed. That's obvious. That doesn't come a liberal perspective. Warrior is making the crux... at least that's what I gather from this snippet.

@GtheMVP You're pretty stupid if you don't know what it means. Vince has control over not only the largest wrestling promotion in the world, he controls the farm systems too. Just because I can buy a ring & print some flyers doesn't mean I have a wrestling promotion nor does it mean I have a shot at developing a following or making any money at it. There's no way you can tell me differently.

@pierrelarouge The reason you can't separate the guy from his profession is because he identifies as a pro wrestler; it's elemental to who he is. Aside from, if he wants to be considered something else, he needs wipe off all the Ultimate Warrior makeup.

@TheNumber2287 What I'm saying is that those guys pressure themselves. They have to look good to get the booking. They have to be well-healed to do the match. Steroids cut healing time (I'm assuming you understand the process of getting big). You're correct that half the of the wrestlers USED to be fat. But nowadays even the jobbers are juiceheads. Why? Because they don't always wanna be jobbers. Just look at the last 4yrs of WWE champs. All have belonged on (or appeared on) fitness mag covers.

@GtheMVP You sound stupid as hell. Name another promotion (beside Ring of Honor) that can compete & make any real money. You can't for more than 1 reason. Vince & Ted ruined it with the help of Paul E.
