There's probably a lot of reasons. The main 1, I think, is that they aren't mentally equipped (not enough game, patience or maturity) to deal with women their own age. It might be more about feeling like they're in control. Or maybe they just prefer tight bodies & smoother skin. Then again, they might wanna feel like they're Marco Polo of the bedroom. Perhaps it's an attempt to feel younger & recapture some of that earnest that fades as we age. For whatever reason, it's not acceptable.

@GJNCA The problem there is that they're committing the crimes anyway. NBC just went fishing & got bites. Also, the term "entrapment" means a law enforcement officer influenced the perpetrator doing the crime. At best, Chris Hansen's show it taking part in setting people up. I've actually taken the keys out of bait cars, looked for the registration & called the cops. They made noise about charging me too. But that would've been real dumb on their part.

@ViolentRiC Dude, being attracted isn't an excuse. You've tried to weave an argument based on nothing but fallacies & the premise that people don't have self-control. What I believe doesn't matter. What I've stated is a reflection of legal mandate. Aside from that, I was rapping to littleman411. Don't try to appeal to my intellect when you're being dumb. @littleman411 You're 17 & you won't touch a little girl. I'm glad you DON'T identify with the R Kelly's of the world. It's funny though. They think these young girls are "cleaner". Hell, these little girls are worse than Li'l Kim these days. I've had them come on to me more times than I care to repeat. And I think of myself as an old man (36yrs). Either way, it's a definite dysfunction. If you're worth anything in the sack, you find new ways to keep your relationship fresh with your woman.

@ViolentRiC It's an absolute false equivalency. For 1, we're not in nature. Secondly, child predators aren't doing what they do for simple survival. They're doing it for gratification. But most of all, gazelles don't stroll up to lions. Beyond that, you're missing a key thesis in your premise. You think it's somehow okay to fuck an underage kid. It's NOT. @littleman411 My friend, he's been doing it for years. R Kelly seems to be a li'l autistic to me. I can't explain it any other way. No real man would do what. But I must admit. Talking to you is extremely encouraging. I can actually say that someone in your generation will be called to stand among men. I worry at times. But I think you've got the right idea.

@littleman411 Yep. It comes down to judgement. Are some kids more mature? Sure. But that means they're mature enough to be patient & wait. Besides, what does a legal adult want with a 14yr old anyway? I'm a teacher. Some of these young girls are built like grown women. BUT, they can't carry on a mature conversation. I wonder how an adult could even segue into sex with a 14yr old. That's just me.

@genie0390 We almost always disagree but you're spot on here. Men & women cheat. We (humans) just aren't always ethical. Sometimes we make up reasons to validate what we do. But in the end, we're selfish. Anyone who says otherwise (or calls me cynical) is, as you said, naive.

@ViolentRiC (cont'd II) A kid or a chubby teenager, it doesn't matter; when you're of a certain age, you can't fuck other people of a certain age. If you wanna argue legal nuance or "circumstance", I suggest you write your congressperson. Until then, don't begrudge Chris Hansen's show. Is it sensationalist? Sure. Does it play to our basest sensibility of outrage? Sure. But at no point is it okay to fuck someone who's underage. Wanna cruise? Cruise in the appropriate age bracket.
