...quit pretending that songwriting is some fantastic leap of insight or intellectual miracle. a song is just a song; lennon himself said as much. nevertheless, michael's talent comes from his ability to compose, sing & play instruments. how may instruments do YOU play? how many octaves is YOUR voice? what have YOU produced in YOUR body of work? a big fat bagel. hell you don't even have any vids posted that would showcase your talent. therefore you can't shit. you gets no respect

irrespective of the platitudes about the music industry, where is YOUR work? you insult limp bizkit, but that smack dab in the middle of your own personal favorites is a fred durst solo. ironic. sure you can criticize whatever you want, but your opinion is not respected. here's the truth though, jackson almost singlehandedly transformed the notion of pop. he was 1st global star in that sense. he redefined the parameters of "popular". talk if you may. but you ain't done shit. checkmate

call it dribble si vous pleas. but i can't call your commentary anything but sour grapes. you haven't done anyfuckingthing but type. if you think that mozart was doing anything but pop for his day, you're wrong. jimi hendrix started off playing pop for little richard & otis redding. django reinhart played the pop music of his period, so did clapton (you like cream). when you complain about the very music you've favorited & lack of personal work, it shoots your credibility.

he pisses out more talent in the AM than you've ever had in life. shit-tard

no it doesn't take musical prowess. but complaining about lack of depth when you can't present an argument of what is "deep" is gonna lose every time. if you're talking about modal music verse syncopation or breaking out some deep musical theory, i'd respect what you were saying. but you ain't you're just talking out your ass. clapton himself said he played pop then imitated bb king for the next 20yrs, those are his OWN words. learn some music before you comment next time

here's the deal: when coltrane started off playing bebop & evolved into avant garde, that was pop for its time. vivaldi was pop when baroque was the thing. clapton played psychedelic when it was en vogue. lennon started of playing pop (until his influence steered music's artistic direction). in more than 1 way, jackson himself steered the direction of music. so your argument loses strength under analysis of "depth" vs "pop". so post your own work to illustrate "depth" or be quiet

those who can, DO. those who can't, HATE. how many guitarists does it take to screw in a light bulb? 11. 1 to actually screw in the bulb & the other ten guys sit on their asses & say "i could have done better". lookit, unless you can actually produce something yourself, oyu have no business talking kiddo
1
really? what'd he ever do to you?...fuckwit

that means that you're not looking at his entire body of work. either way, unless you can produce any comparable work, you have little room to criticize or make ANY qualitative judgments.
