@rolfalmao As for him being mean-spirited, he was. But she was questioning the choices he made in the best interests of his own kids. My kid steals from the store once, I admonish him & try to help him understand why it's wrong. I run down the values of integrity & earning what's yours. Y'know, the whole 9yds. He does it again, I slap the shit out of him. Some "good samaritan" comes from the peanut gallery to object. Am I gonna be polite in my explanation? Probably not.

@rolfalmao Not exactly. It's his job to make sure his citizens have access to what they need. Being "happy" is their own job. And his own decisions about his own kids' education is his own business. If he's not allocating funding to & ensuring quality of his public schools, then he's derelict. But otherwise, you can't just go around impeaching everybody simply because he's shoots straight & tells people to handle their own shit.

You're right. He loses his job in a democratic process; not by the political assassination. Giving them what they need & keeping them satisfied aren't the same thing. If I give you enough food, I prevent you from starving. You won't always be sated though. His job is to make sure people have the basics. If they want the gravy, they gotta get it themselves. Public schools are already strained for a myriad of reasons. My concern is that the mom thinks the governor's job is to create a panacea.
