  1. you're misunderstanding quite a bit of what happened. 1st of all, the majority of those people didn't have the material resources to pick & go to safety. 2nd of all, bush as a leader, is expected to respond in the best interests of his citizens; ALL OF THEM. no, there was NOT plenty of help. not to say that the citizens themselves aren't responsible, they showed no resourcefulness BUT, where was the leadership?
