@hughster41 The liberals? Are you forgetting that Kennedy started the war, Johnson continued it & Nixon ended US involvement? It wasn't about "the liberals". It was the reality that we had no business there in the 1st place AND the fact that the Cong were fierce guerillas. Read some history.

@hughster41 Do you mean those hippies in Ohio who lost their lives for protesting? Or the hippies who wanted the US to be more focused on perfecting OUR nation instead of meddling in Vietnamese affairs? The last time I looked, non-interventionism is a fairly conservative principle. Now if you're talking about the hippie college-dropouts, I could argue that they didn't want to become elites by way of all that fancy education. Again, that's a conservative principle. Checkmate.

@soundslave I think we'd all rather listen to his music if it's political or not. His songs are a narrative of the American experience. It's just that neo-cons don't like it when people have ideas of their own.
