But don't let some religious edict be the impetus for it. Make your own decisions. Otherwise, you're letting religion act like a ROM program. Your argument that my perspective is "outsider" is tantamount to the argument made by those Mormon polygamists wives. It's not an actual choice. It's regurgitation.

  5. I never said someone has to think my way. I said they have to think their own way; not the way a religion tells them to. Why do I care? Because we live in a world where women are marginalized too much as it is. If a woman isn't free in Afghanistan, no 1 is free in America.

  6. You're not getting it. Personal choice & liberty should inform our everyday decisions in life; not some religious pretext. It's like saying a person shouldn't steal because it's in the Commandments versus saying he shouldn't steal because it's not his & if he wants something in life he needs to earn it on his own. Do you see the fundamental difference? It's not a "it goes both ways thing" when religious programming overrides reason & real ethics.
