  1. Ultimately, China can't really sell its goods anywhere else. America has 307M consumers. India has people but no money (the same goes for Indonesia). Brazil gets most of its goods from other South American countries. Hell, many Chinese citizens can't even afford the goods that China produces. China already knew they coudln't call in that debt.
