@GayByProxy In fairness, Ireland isn't as densely populated as the US nor does Ireland have the same set of social concerns (ie race, sexuality, social mobility, lack of economic parity, religious disparity; to name a few). Ireland also doesn't have 308M people (who are all told to do whatever they can to get rich) to manage. I agree that most Americans don't know that socialism is but you have to understand why some (very few) elements of socialism won't work here.

@ThePackers123 If I said everyone was trying to get rich, I misstated my position. I'll clarify it now though. The American economic principle is to make your own money. And yes, the money is often made by exploiting the resource imbalance between the classes. YES, there is class division.

@ThePackers123 I never said someone shouldn't make their own money. Also, the US is NOT the most charitable nation in the world. Don't half-read a wiki article & think you have expertise. Also, there's no evidence, beyond some blog bullshit you're going to present, that conservatives are more charitable. You're presenting to nonsensical, partisan argument that totally lacks nuance. You're uneducated as hell.
