  1. In all fairness, polls are a decent metric (depending on the sample group). After all, who do you think fills up jury boxes & ballot slips? I know most people are dumb but it's still good to se what people are thinking. Would you rather have polls of public opinion setting policy or the asshole politicians in the legislature? I know how I'd answer that question.

  4. Civil court is for money though. Zimmerman needs to charged for his criminal act. He needs to be locked up.

  5. Uh, he stalked the kid. That's illegal. He pulled out his pistol when he's legally required to keep it concealed. That's illegal. He shot an unarmed person & he escalated the level of violence. That, too, is illegal. The police report even called it negligible manslaughter (murder). All that is evident. The prosecutor is in cahoots with Zimmerman's old man. That's why the investigation has gone to the federal level.

  6. Like I said, as long as the pollsters & the poll itself has some integrity, I've no problem with polls. As for the limitations of the trial by jury system, that may also be true but I prefer no other alternatives. You still haven't answered my question though: would you rather have a career politician setting your policy or would you rather have some say-so strictly on the strength of you being a part of a larger, civic body? I LOVE the idea of referendum voting. How 'bout you?
