@yourtreat2 I don't totally disagree with your premise about the Great Depression. But you're oversimplifying things. The reason Americans were able to work is because we had the capital to manufacture goods & trade them within our country. That's not the case in 2011. Yes there were stock regulations but the most significant result of that regulation was the emergence of the Federal Reserve. I don't think that was so great for the US. You want infrastructure? You need better education first.

@TsugaruClan She's been to the playoffs. She won after a very tight race. And although Alaska doesn't have a huge population, I still reckon being governor is a little harder than say, watching paint dry. But you're correct about her not even finishing her own, drawn-out, publicity/fundraiser. But she had jury duty. Right? She's gotta serve her civic duty to her community... Right? (smh)

@TsugaruClan I guarantee that her fans don't possess mental capability. And I bet if you told Mrs. Palin she wasn't that interesting, it would go over her head. Looking in the mirror & be honest requires depth of spirit. Sarah lacks (or has lost) that part of her personality. She's too busy chasing dollars to even hear herself.

@yourtreat2 Although there's a large element of truth to your comment, there's some critical flaws too. The corporations are part of a larger, economic organism. Allowing them to fail sounds romantic in an Ayn Randian way. But that means funding gets taken from schools, hospitals & banks. That means many who owe in this country (basically all of us) will lose homes, cars, retirement funds & ultimately our shirts. To make an analogy, your idea is to create multi-system organ failure.
