  2. It's a poll tax. The amount isn't as notable as the fact that they're forcing people to pay it in order to take part in our democratic process. That's contra to the American promise. Furthermore, you can't fix an election by sending fake voters into multiple polling places. If you're gonna stuff ballot boxes, you do it by mail proxy. It's a bullshit legislation & the judges see that. That's why the proposals are getting struck down.

  3. You'll need a better argument than a John Doe murder case. You'll need a better argument than the presumption that citizens are criminals (that's how that part of your premise can easily be construed) especially when they have a fingerprint database in place already. Unless the IDs are gonna be issued for no cost, it's not gonna fly. As has been stated, I'm not gonna send my 90yo grandmother to stand in line at the DMV because some republicans don't want her voting for the Black guy.
