Only a delusional idiot thinks a 22min, TV show, or a 90min movie or a teacher, who's only working certain hours, has more influence than the parent who wakes up a kid, dresses him, feeds him, potty trains him, teaches him language & consequence (& everything in between) then puts that kid back in bed. Some parents are poor. But most parents do what they can. Spare me the shit about teachers being the only source of right & wrong. The truth is that >3/4 of Americans identify as Christian, believers in some higher being. Hence the morality derives from religion. CRACK! Hear that? It was your tiny head exploding.

  6. I didn't say it stopped them. I didn't call them non-hypocrites. I said that the ORIGIN of most American morality is Christianity. I'll let that segue into genie0390's remark. I am of the opinion that teachers, TV & movies have less influence than parents. "Tradition" still rules us. There is not some liberal disconnect, as genie0390 would try to imply.
