  2. That's not defending him. That's giving an accurate depiction of the events so everyone can examine the facts in order to make informed conclusions about the issue. A person who doesn't wanna be seen in public won't be seen in public. That's why Holmes did it at night, wearing dark gear & using an access point that isn't well-lit. Also, the police station is LITERALLY across the street the street from the theater. I've been to both places on more occasions than I care to remember.

  8. EXACTLY. The right to bear arms was protected because there was no standing army. I didn't limit what kinds of arms. I should be able to build a nuke in my garage by 2nd Amendment logic. Most of all, there are more "good guys" hurt by handguns. People are quick to use outliers like Chicago (my hometown) as the example instead of considering reasonable regulations. It's a shame.
