@ninetysevenecho Nice. You present non-sequitir arguments instead of addressing the substance of the video. I'm sure he'd be pro-life. Most Baptist preachers are. I'm sure he'd think the same thing about gay marriage. Most Baptist preachers do. That said, he was a paradox in his own self. You can't denounce someone else's marriage while disrespecting your own. Either way, we can't argue MLK's intense love for the people. And let's not parse language here. He'd be down with the unions. Nuff sed.

Lemme ask you this about MLK Sr. If indeed he was a Republican, why would he help Carter get nominated? Why would he be the minister to bless 2 DEMOCRATIC NAT'L CONVENTIONS? @captcrais101 And my remarks about the wives visiting Coretta after King's shooting were for good reason as well. Politicians wives are always very astute. Even in mourning, there's political agendas at work. So the fact that Democratic figures' wives & widows came to visit Coretta is extremely meaningful when you're trying to determine where Martin stood. But the neo-conervatives won't even take a look at those wretched little snag that you & I call "facts". Aren't repubs funny?

@captcrais101 I'm astounded by that lie. That's not to say that I'm for giving Dems much credit. That would be a false dichotomy. But that's a larger commentary about the flaws of the 2-party system of politics in this country. Nevertheless, MLKJr & MLKSr were NOT republicans. When King got shot, Judy Agnew didn't visit Coretta. Neither did Pat Nixon or Maggie Goldwater. But Lady Bird & Jackie certainly came to visit Mrs. King on separate occasions in the wake of the assassination.

@lilnicky492 There's absolutely no evidence to support that claim. In fact, his Poor People's Campaign is about as socially & politically liberal as can be. Also, the Civil Rights Act that he helped author was presented to the House by a DEMOCRAT from New York. That feeling you have isn't confusion. It's learning that you're actually as stupid as people tell you are every day of your life. I enjoyed your lols though. Very intellectual.
