@jkpisch You fail at life.

@Drunkpiledriver A guy can cheat on his wife & still love his wife. a doctor can eat a Big Mac. A professional basketball player can smoke cigarettes (Cousy, Sloan & Barkley all did). Every mechanic I know has at least 1, jalopy in his possession. I'm saying that to say that you should be careful of the "No true Scotsman" fallacy. Being a Christian doesn't mean you follow every letter of the Bible. "Christian" means you buy into the dogma that Christ is central to your spiritual discussion. Dig?

@Drunkpiledriver I tend to disagree with that. For 1, I don't read minds (do you?). Secondly, I've always been a "believe you 'til you show me otherwise" kinda guy. Either way, I'm not the thought police so I couldn't care less who's a Christian or an Atheist. What I'm saying is that the data states that about 80% of Americans identify as Christians. The beauty of empirical data versus "belief" is that the former has some evidence to support its premise. Dig?

@ChristianMission Spare me the shit about "socially". Deal with the facts. 80% is NOT a leap or slow migration in the direction of "anti-religious" or "secular". Also, your notion of Atheists becoming more "militant" implies that we're the people driving bombs into buildings. Tim McVeigh identified as Catholic when he was arrested. So your "militant" postulate is weaker than a spit bubble. Also, I'll be damned if you can show me proof of nationwide "anti-religion".

@pacemaker2point0 It's troubling that people are dumb but I guess all a person can do is try not to take it personal.
1
@ChristianMission That's utter nonsense considering the fact that 76-80% of Americans identify as Christian (according to data from Encyclopedia Brittanica & data from a Gallup study). Get some actual data & publish INFORMED comments you fucking idiot. Stop wasting your energy on useless rhetoric.

You are a moron. I never said I believed in "God" or a Christian ethic. I said that if a man claims to be a Christian, it's not my place to judge if he's a "true" Christian. Ultimately, it's not your place to make any conclusions about it either. If he says he "believes", that's between HIM and HIS God. Any other part of the discussion was addressing why Atheism gets equal treatment under the law. The other remark I made was about statistical data about peopel who identify. Learn to read.

@TheHunter14792 It IS a celebration of winter solstice. There's no religious part to Christmas. Ultimately, every culture that's situated where there are seasons tend to perform a rite to acknowledge solstices & equinoxes. That's not uncommon at all.

@Drunkpiledriver The imbeciel posted your comments. "Dig?" is a means of asking if you follow the conversation. I guess you don't. The way you see it doesn't really matter because a fool's opinion never matters. Like I said, if a person claims to be a Christian, I don't have the wherewithall to argue if they aren't. If you say you have a pet dragon in your basement I'll simply tell you that the Komodo Dragon has a lethal bite & that you should be careful. There's no need to lie about that though

In truth, the Christians stole Christmas from the Pagans. So who really gives a fuck?
