@INOVATION27 There's NO way to cut $1.2T from any budget; current OR projected. Also, saving money is NOT generating money. I'm not sure why that nuance escapes you. Also, if you think the money is going to be redirected at "the people" you're mistaken. Why? Because getting rid of EVERY federal agency leaves no 1 to do the directing, idiot. As for fascism, I've yet to see it in America and I'm a Blackman. You need to assemble a better argument.

@INOVATION27 Of course it's out of control. So Dr. Paul wants to deal with that lack of control by dissolving everything BUT the military & industry. Do you have any idea how backward a plan that is? You can't just bring the troops home. It sounds romantic & it conjures up images that make great commercials but it's not a practical idea. How do you think it is that we can buy oil & not get totally ripped off? I won't belabor that point because it actually makes itself. (cont'd)

Since WHEN have big corporations been "smart"? Name a time in American history. I'll wait... EXACTLY. They won't be "smart" unless they're regulated. In the same way that most people will speed if there wasn't a limit, corporations must be regulated. There's no other answer. Call me a cynic but it's been my experience, over the course of 36yrs on this planet, that people usually don't do the right thing. And the people that DO do the right thing aren't found heading megacoporations. Am I lying?

@INOVATION27 He's NOT going to cut the budget. You really haven't read his proposal. Have you? Aside from that, just cutting, a talking point that conservatives hold dear, isn't a means of producing. Again, saving money isn't making money. You're talking about the same Ron Paul who wants to go back to the gold standard (how'd that work out for Greece?). That's also the same ob/gyn who wants STATE currency. This is the Ron Paul who thinks liberty is fine as long as it's only for men. Spare me.

Saving is static. Generating is active growth. Why don't oyu get that? I know budget cuts give you a hardon but that's not the whole solution. It's always smart to save. But it's smarter is to make. I showed you how we can't just "give money to the people". And I agree that many educational agencies waste money. They also design nat'l standards. I like knowing that my sheepskin from Northwestern is as valuable at home in Chicago as it is in Maine. Don't you? Research beyond talking points.

What I'm saying is that ridding us of every agency but the military is what Mussolini did. As for bringing troops home, I doubt that. His plan didn't say anything about closing every base outside the country. And even if it did, it would be impractical. We have corporations overseas that are being protected by that military. But let's not dwell on that. Cutting spending is a measure for saving money but it won't MAKE money. You speak of regulations but it sounds like you haven't read his plan.

@INOVATION27 (cont'dII) Congressman Paul wants a completely unregulated market & he expects it to regulate itself. That's like having a superhighway, that's traveled but Mack trucks, with no speed limits & no advisory. Even the Autobahn has fail-safes. But the real problem with that highway analogy is that there's no room for small cars to drive & there's no accountability when the Mack crashes. That's what happened when derivative speculation went unwatched.

I understand that. But I gotta me honest, I don't give a shit if they steal oil. I'm not mad at China for using their leverage in S. America either. If anything, I'm mad our leaders didn't cut that deal. I LIKE having cheaper goods her in the US. And bringing the troops home is a great theme for beer commercials; especially this time of year. But the people in the military signed on for war. What do you think the military DOES? They're in the business of war. Make no mistakes about that.

Fuck Ron Paul too. You think he's NOT a corporate whore? Are you kidding?
