@TheDianaHowe It's not a card, it's the truth. If it's, don't tell me how he "identifies". It's really simple.

@36inc There's other ways to argue it but his anatomy is the most salient & fundamental. There's nothing wrong with the kid being gay. But saying a 7yo identifies as a female, biological unit, is silly. He's never gonna have a period or need a bra or worry about finding jeans to fit properly. He's never gonna experience pregnancy or menopause. Are those the essential parts or bases of womanhood?No. But it's not a sexist argument to argue one's sex. Got anything? I'm listening.

@UncontestedTruth Don't get me wrong. I have my reservations about transgendered people (I think it's weird and, at times, dumb). But I respect their right to exist & prosper just as I expect them to respect mine. But that said, I think transgender behavior is a choice that should be left up to an adult. If the kid's gay, the kid's gay. I won't argue that. But I think it's counter-intuitive to allow a boy to be in Girl Scouts when they already have Boy Scouts.

@Angelalynx999 I'm not "aoiding" anything. I'm stating a simple fact: you can't just decide you're a woman or a man. Spare me the remarks about my brow when the b est argument you can generate is 1 that requires chemical mutilation.

@36inc Anatomy counts for shit? Tell me that when he he calls himself a girl but never has a period. Also, the organization's 1st name is GIRL. They have a scouting organizations for boys. It's called the BOY Scouts. And that's where this little boy belongs.

@Angelalynx999 You need a bra because of hormone supplements that were taken electively. Also, I NEVER said that those were the sole rubrics of womanhood. I said that you can't argue anatomy. In any case, I doubt you're telling me the truth anyway. Irrespective of all that, your page says you're 35. That means you're an adult who made adult decisions; not a 7yo. Thanks for proving my point for me.

@KefkasInsanity No walls here. He's not a girl. Gender identity, by definition, is attached to biological initiatives. When other girls are developing boobs & hips & he';s developing shoulders & a beard, all that "identify" talk becomes moot. I've no problem with the kid being gay. Hell, I'll even go so far as to say that if, in time, he just has to go to Trinidad, CO, that's his prerogative. My problem here is that the parents aren't protecting their son & GSA is complicit in this nonsense.

@mueygringo Keep losing.
1
@MitchofSmeg That's not an academic study. Furthermore, there's ZERO methodology. You failed.
1
@MitchofSmeg The dumbass is the guy who answers the question wrong, tries to call it "science" then gets mad when a science-minded person points out the facts. YOU failed.
1
@elenavlada Homophobic or not, the boy's parents shouldn't allow it.

WHAT scientific data? WHAT, APA certified study has been done on 7yr olds? WHAT parents gave consent to people poking around in their kids' sexuality? Don't make up a lie to qualify your argument. The ONLY decision a 7yr old needs to make is if he wants a burger instead of chicken nuggets. Also, your notion that someone is gay from birth lacks ANY recognition of nuance. Spare me your vague idiocy about "biological changes in the brain". You can't name the genesis of it so don't fabricate.
1
@Angelalynx999 So you're saying you're inately too confused to frame a reasoned argument? Nice forfeit.
1
@Angelalynx999 So you think cherrypicking a handful of exceptions, that are statistically insignificant, is a sound premise? You fail again.
1
@TheDianaHowe I never said it did, at least not in a profound way. This is a forum where people share ideas. I'm just sharing mine. As for how it does, try treating a transgender patient then tell me about affect.
1
@TheDianaHowe Been there, done that. And?...
1
@Angelalynx999 You were born gay. You were NOT born female. It's not 1 of those things you can just decide upon. I can't be a woman. I can't be White. Go play make believe with someone who lives thbere with you. I live in reality.

@upabittoolate "... carries NO ambiguity..."
1
@Angelalynx999 Their hormones come naturally. Yours come from taking pills. That's not nitpicking. You can't buy womanhood in a bottle any more than you can buy manhood in a bottle. You must create a sounder premise if you want to defend your premise.

@N3vam0re Given the data, I think calling it outmoded is inaccurate. Not to be hateful or suppressive of transgendered people but let's be real: a 7yr old has no business making that kind of decision. And no father worth his salt is going to let it happen.
1
@36inc Anatomy counts for a whole lot. And yes, we have gender roles. He SHOULDN'T be in the Girl Scouts. He should be in the BOY Scouts. It's not a rich nuance.
1
@Angelalynx999 As for having a dick then losing it in an injury, yes, that's still a man; an injured man.
1
@KefkasInsanity Gender is fickle? That's a stupid premise. Gender is 1 of the few things that carries ambiguity (sans some rare cases). The boy is a boy. He'll never have a period. He'll never give birth. He'll never go through menopause. The issue here is parental irresponsibility. There's NO way a 7yo should be making this kinda decision.
