@Remus0387 He does. You're certainly right about that. And I think a "progressive" has to have some understanding of art (even if it's just for art's sake) to understand why we need funding for certain programs. That's a practical outlook, of course. I'd be more concerned that Cenk's Wolf PAC would gain lobby power then take funding away from certain art programs just because of the motorcycle helmet. Then again, you must admit. Some stuff in that slideshow was shite.

You can't argue a false equivalency then credit yourself for having knocked it down. That a fallacy within a fallacy. Politics have an effect on our everyday lives. Some overpaid, anorexic model wearing some clothing designed by an overpaid, cokehead designer (the garment is subsequently sewn by some kid in a sweatshop) doesn NOT have an effect on our everyday lives.

@Remus0387 He doesn't like inane bullshit that attempts to pass itself off as art. John Cage striking 1 chord then sitting there for 90sec is bullshit too. There's nothing wrong with dada. There's nothing wrong with abstract art. But it must have a basis in SOMETHING. It was obvious that Warhol had doen some study of abstract art before he dealt witgh pop art ideas. Dig?
