@jerrydoubleu Blindspot nothing. If you want to be considered an equal or a peer, you have to deal with teasing. That's equality. YOU evidently don't get that nuance because the stick is so far up your ass that you get teary when the wind blows.

@jerrydoubleu Spare that strawman bullshit about my girlfriend. If anything, I've wanted my girlfriends to have their own lives so I'm not the sole structure of support in their lives. And so what if I tease people? I get teased too. That's life you wuss. Nevertheless, You're steering away form my original premise. Suicide isn't a small or whimsical decision. I think all animals (humans included) possess the instinct of self-preservation. That said, the people committing suicide are cilpable.

@jerrydoubleu I'm absolutely fine with gay marriage. What people do in their own personal lives isn't my business. As long as they pay their taxes & their insurance premiums just like me, I'm cool. THAT'S called equality my friend.

@jerrydoubleu I've never had a gay boss but I've had tons of gay colleagues. I've worked at a health care facility that focused on gay, HIV positive patients. I've seen TONS of outreach & support. So why, in the case of suicide, do we blame the bullies?

@jerrydoubleu My friend, 13yrs old IS a young adult. I had a job at age 13. Hell, I already knew quite a bit at age 13. And when did I say anything about disallowing people to live well & have equality. I said that equality comes at the price of personal accountability. Yes, 134 is very young. But I know of kids who get tried as adults at 13. In other countries, 13yos are soldiers. So yes, the onus of suicide, unfortunately, is moreoso on the bullied not the bullies.

@jotunobsidianeyes I guess I'm trying to say that, although they had the same father who was a vicious asshole, all of Bing Crosby's boys didn't commit suicide. Therefore it's intuitive to me that we don't blame Bing for all of it.

@jerrydoubleu Had you read my posts, you'd see that the very last thing I want is for anyone to feel marginalized. So why are people, even kids as you described them, foreiting their own power. You don't say, "I'm worth something" by cashing in the last chip you have: your own life. So intimidate YOURSELF, slap YOURSELF, spy on YOURSELF, humiliate YOURSELF, tease YOUR OWN flaws, domestically abuse YOURSELF. Don't project your shit on me.

@jerrydoubleu Although you make some good points about the nuances, I must take you to task about suicide. At what point does the gay teen take ownership? Believe me, I don't want anyone to be bullied much less taking their own lives because this social construct sees them as outsiders simply because they're a little different. However, we're talking about young adults here. While every teen isn't bold enough to be "out" isn't every person born with the instinct of self-preservation?

@jotunobsidianeyes I don't deny any of that. But your prison analogy isn't a set of physical limitations. Teenagers run away from home. Hell, not all gay kids commit suicide. What I'm alluding to is the fact that the gay teens who do commit suicide already needed help. And while the bullies deserve their fair share of the onus, we can't totally scapegoat them. Again, I hate gaybashers. I have 2 gays friends. But damned if I totally blame the bullies; even parental bullies.
