Elvis "loved" Black people? How many Black members of the Memphis Mafia were there? How many Brothers or Sisters that had TCB or TLC rings? Elvis "loved" Black music? Sure he did. It made him filthy rich. Also, all the world's music, especially American, music is informed by Black music. I challenge the supposition that he "gave" half his money to his manager. It's more like his manager never told him how much money he made. I ain't saying he wasn't good people. I just like full disclosure.

@ElegeantFencer Elvis was anything but a rebel. Did he protest Viet'nam (or protest being drafted)? Did he choose grass over refined, pharmaceutical opiates? Did he make his own music? How counter-culture is a guy that sings pop music? How much rebellion is it to completely plug yourself into the social construct? Elvis wasn't daring. At best, he was bold at being "normal". That's not rebellious though.
