that's like saying that your softball brings in a ringer, the ump makes a bad call at home plate then you scream foul. wasn't the ringer an obvious rule bender in the 1st place?
1
american or not, you've got her flag on your channel. my 1st language was spanish because i lived in puerto rico as a child. i learned cantonese in preparation to study eastern medicine. i learned arabic because i entertained the idea of taking shadah & wanted the know the suras. my twin sister minored in swahili & we took it together. i've had 2 girlfriends directly from poland & they taught me well. i understand korean because i practice taekwondo. now that you know, checkmate

lucky for me, what you think isn't really of consequence. not only that, i'm absolutely correct. for an educated man & someone who wants to study psychology, you sure don't understand much. especially about sports psychology or martial art. either way, i won't continue to match wits with an unarmed man. godspeed
1
i'm glad you mentioned that. so tell me, what do you think about corruption as it applies for an armenian competing for a country that's not his own? checkmate
1
the argument. a ringer form another country is complaining about being cheated. the last time i looked being in sweden for 15yrs STILL doesn't make you a swedish, correct me if i'm wrong
1
furthermore, it's 1 thing to complain about calls. it's an altogether different issue to ruin the medal ceremony for your fellow competitors & in turn, disrespect your art (greco roman wrestling is considered a martial art). here's an analogy for you, a flautist: the guy next to you gets 1st chair in a band but you wanted it. instead of playing the notes on the sheet, you play off key & out of time to spite the 1st chair guy. consequently, you ruin the composition because of that spite. THINK!
1
yes. a sore loser. winning the bronze means that he's 1 of the 3 best greco roman wrestlers on the entire planet. how many people get a chance to participate in the olympics let alone earn a medal. also, why on earth would he disrespect his fellow competitors by acting indignant? once you train for 10yrs at something, you begin to appreciate what you do for the sake of doing it especially a martial art. that guy shamed himself, the country he represented & ultimately his sport
1
...when it becomes about the athlete, you get wrestlers getting mad about receiving lesser medals & acting a fool like the armenian did. his was a selfish display
1
if you look in any english dictionary pirnted after 1860, you'll find that flautist is an accepted term for 1 who plays the flute. either way, it was a fantastic analogy. you're just made that you got outwitted by a 'dumb american'.
1
dude, it's the highest form of international competition. every athlete there is 1 of the top 5,000 athletes on the planet earth. they are ALL ringers. understand that. i didn't say i had a problem with that or with competing for a "non-home" country. i said that in the spirit of fairness, you can't say 1 thing is inequitable when it serves you & not the other. you're wrong though, the olympics IS about the countries. as an american, they represent me with their dignity & intensity...
1
incidentally, the creator of youtube is american. the initial developers of the pc were american (although the technology came from many places). of your 3 friends, 1 has a us flag on his channel. for someone so america hating in your rhetoric, you sure have a predilection for us, rather our stuff
1
like i was telling that guy, you can't come in & be a ringer then complain about an official making a call that's out of your favor. but my broader point was about sportsmanship rather the lack thereof in this case. the armenian's bad sportsmanship made a fool of him & ruined the moment for the cat who won the bronze. when he had an opportunity to be recognized for his excellence, he said "hey, that's not enough recognition". to me, that's lame
1
i never screamed about corruption. i said you can't bend the rules in order to gain competitive edge then get mad when karma comes back to you. i never said he couldn't flawed either. i said he'd already cheated then screamed foul. i said that he ruined the moment for his fellow olympian. i said he gave himself, his countries & his sport a black eye. like i said before, it's difficult to attempt intelligent conversation with someone unintelligent. you're welcome to say something smart any time

when you get angry that, during a performance, the percussion section of the orchestra is late on a modal transition do you get made & start blowing a bunch crazy notes? do you curse the bassist? nope, you adjust & continue playing. a bronze medal means that he's 1 of the 3 best practitioners on the planet in his field. that means something. that guy is a sore loser. period
1
i never said anything about fluency, you can't cite that either. you said "try another language" i gave you several examples of other languages which i have a pretty good working understanding (although primitive). in fact, when i try using the language with native speakers, consensus is that i'm pretty proficient. checkmate

your favorite flute is made on manmeat
1
whether or not he was screwed is completely inconsequential. you don't shit on the other guy's moment because of something the ref did because your problem is with the ref not your opponent. a martial artist approaches his art with respect in victory & defeat. don't pontificate about armenian culture because it leads to a fallacy that degrades your premise: he was representing sweden so he can't act armenian in that case. are you sure you graduated dude?
1
ius sanguinis. google it then tell me about citizenship in sweden. moron
1
it absolutely gives him the right. BUT living 20 yrs doesn't always make you a citizen. i personally know people that have lived in the US on an expired visa & been deported after 30yrs. chris kaman's playing for germany is garbage. agreed. but this is still getting away from my original point which is that he's a ringer but whined about a bad call at home plate. that's unsportsmanlike. he should have been a man, grinned & bore it
1
it's not about racism here. it's not about corruption. the fact that he represented a country not his own is intrinsically corrupt so that reasoning is flawed on your part. what i'm saying is that he's gotta be a man & be dignified in victory or defeat.
1
c'mon, you & i both know that he didn't compete for armenia because they weren't in a position to continue supporting him not because he had some burning desire to win for his mother sweden. i admittedly don't know a thing about sweden's immigration laws either. what i'm saying is that for what it's worth, that's a cheat to compete for a country not your own & therefore any complaint about corruption is therefore moot.
1
regressing? this is why is say you lack wit
1
you've been a moron. i challenged you to look up a term. no guts?
1
a dictionary is a dictionary. many of the terms used (including reading the staff) are n italian. that's how i arrived at that. none of this detracts from my anecdote. as a musician, you wouldn't play out of tune or time to spite a fellow musician with whom you had a friendly, sportsmanlike competition. therefore the wrestler going apeshit was wrong. he's especially wrong as a martial artist. the prime directive of EVERY martial art is inner-CONTROL
1
uh yes americans do have a right to talk. at least the 299,999,980+ of us that weren't on the team. strangely enough, your channel has old glory in the 'country' field. it's very difficult for you to call any nation dumb when your posted comment is populated with misspelled words. also, once the game gets played, it's nobody's sport; it's refs (or judges) & teams in competition. that's like saying that a french person should always lose to a japanese person in judo. that's a logical fallacy
